Position Summary

IQ Fiber is seeking a Marketing Technology Manager responsible for the strategy, architecture, and optimization of its marketing technology stack. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this first dedicated martech role will assess the current stack, then build and execute a prioritized roadmap to automate manual processes, improve CRM data quality, and unlock the automation and attribution capabilities the team needs to scale.

This role balances strategic stack decisions with hands-on platform configuration. The Marketing Technology Manager owns platform strategy and architecture and partners closely with the Marketing Operations Manager, who leads day-to-day campaign execution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct a full audit of IQ Fiber's marketing technology stack within the first 60 days, cataloging active tools, contracts, usage, integrations, and costs, and deliver a prioritized rationalization roadmap with total-cost-of-ownership and expected ROI recommendations to the Chief Marketing Officer.
  • Own configuration and optimization of Customer.io, including lifecycle program architecture, segmentation logic, behavioral triggers, and deliverability.
  • Own the marketing layer of Zoho CRM, including lead data architecture, field mapping, pipeline stages, and integration with marketing automation.
  • Manage martech vendor relationships, contract renewals, and platform evaluations, and maintain platform documentation including integration maps, data dictionaries, and configuration change logs.
  • Design and implement automated lifecycle marketing programs across the customer journey, from prospect nurture through onboarding, upsell, and retention.
  • Identify manual marketing processes suitable for automation and build the workflows to replace them, partnering with the Acquisition and Commercial Marketing teams on lead nurture and sales-enablement automation.
  • Lead a CRM data quality initiative, establishing standards for lead capture, enrichment, deduplication, and ongoing hygiene.
  • Define and document lead management processes — source tracking, scoring criteria, routing rules, and Sales handoff standards — in alignment with the incoming SVP of Sales.
  • Own marketing attribution architecture, ensuring campaign sources, touchpoints, and conversion events are tracked accurately across paid, organic, direct, and referral channels with consistent UTM conventions.
  • Build and maintain marketing performance dashboards that give the Chief Marketing Officer and marketing team clear visibility into channel efficiency, funnel conversion, and ecommerce performance.
  • Serve as Marketing's primary liaison to IT for martech infrastructure, data, and security topics, and ensure the stack remains compliant with data privacy requirements (CAN-SPAM, TCPA, and applicable state regulations).

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5–8 years of marketing technology, marketing operations, or demand generation experience with a strong platform and data orientation.
  • Hands-on experience with Customer.io or a comparable behavioral/lifecycle marketing platform (e.g., Iterable, Braze, Klaviyo).
  • Experience with CRM platforms in a marketing context; Zoho CRM experience a plus, with Salesforce or HubSpot experience transferable.
  • Demonstrated ability to audit and rationalize a martech stack, not just operate within one.
  • Strong understanding of marketing attribution, UTM conventions, and multi-touch reporting.
  • Experience designing and implementing automated lifecycle or nurture programs.
  • Familiarity with data privacy compliance requirements relevant to email and SMS marketing (CAN-SPAM, TCPA) a plus.
  • Ability to work fluently with data — building segments, diagnosing data-quality issues, and communicating findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate technical platform decisions into clear business rationale for the Chief Marketing Officer and marketing team.
  • Ability to operate independently and build structure in a fast-paced environment that currently lacks it.

What Success Looks Like

  • A full stack audit and rationalization roadmap is delivered to the Chief Marketing Officer within 60 days.
  • CRM data quality is measurably improving within 90 days, with documented standards, a clean-up plan underway, and lead routing operating reliably.
  • Manual marketing processes are systematically replaced with automation, reducing hand-built work quarter over quarter.
  • Attribution is trusted and clear, giving the marketing team reliable visibility into which channels and campaigns drive performance.
  • Customer.io lifecycle programs are architected, documented, actively managed, and performing.
  • The Marketing Technology Manager is a strategic enabler who makes the broader marketing team more effective and works effectively with Marketing Operations.
