This is an on-site position located in Jacksonville, FL

Position Summary
IQ Fiber is seeking a Senior Manager of Internal Communications and Employee Engagement to lead internal communications strategy across a rapidly growing organization. This role reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for ensuring employees across the company remain informed, aligned, and engaged as the organization scales.

The role will support a workforce of more than 260 employees across multiple states, with plans to grow to more than 400 employees in the near term. Employees include office team members, field technicians, and call center teams operating in geographically dispersed locations. The successful candidate will develop and execute an internal communications roadmap that connects employees to company priorities, reinforces culture, and ensures information flows effectively throughout the organization.

This position requires someone who can operate independently, navigate ambiguity, and work across a matrixed organization while maintaining alignment with senior leadership.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute an internal communications roadmap that aligns employees with company priorities, initiatives, and performance updates.
  • Partner directly with the CEO and senior leadership team to craft and deliver internal messaging related to company strategy, growth, and organizational priorities.
  • Design and manage employee engagement initiatives, including recognition programs, engagement surveys, and company-wide initiatives.
  • Manage and develop content across internal communication channels, including the company intranet (Einstein), email, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Work across a matrixed organization to ensure communication is coordinated and consistent across departments and leadership teams.
  • Support communication efforts related to organizational growth, expansion into new markets, and potential M&A integration efforts. 
  • Develop communication approaches that effectively reach employees who do not work at desks, including field technicians and call center staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 5–10 years of experience in internal communications, employee engagement, or related roles
  • Experience supporting growing or scaling organizations
  • Company-side experience preferred over agency experience
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Strong technical and digital fluency
  • Strong analytical skills to tailor communications and measure and improve engagement
  • Ability to adopt and reflect the company’s tone and style in communications
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to influence across departments in a matrixed organization
  • Strong organizational and program management capabilities
  • Self-starter comfortable working with ambiguity
  • Strong interpersonal and social skills; able to engage across the organization
  • Ability to balance strategy with hands-on execution
  • Comfortable working closely with executive leadership
